St Andrews Christian College Board – May 2018 Meeting
Our meeting tonight followed the 2018 AGM where we were encouraged to hear about the growth of the school, new buildings, and positive finances. Allen McGavin was renominated to the board, and Thomas Chung was nominated.
We welcomed a new Board Member tonight. Sue Dunn was nominated by the Presbytery of Maroondah, interviewed and accepted by the Presbyterian Church of Victoria Committee for Institutions (as all nominees are), and so begins tonight as a full member of the board.
It is good to have Mrs Wansbrough back from her study tour of Israel. The lessons she has learned during this time will, we believe, have a solid and positive impact on St Andrews.
Planning for the new building continues and we have resolved to accept the tender from Melbcon Pty Ltd. There will be a lot of work to do over the next twelve months. Please pray for this work.
With St Andrews needing to vacate Rembrandts in term 3, new spaces are needed. To resolve this we have determined to purchase a portable building which will have rooms for music and drama. We thank our business manager for his hard work on these property matters.
Development on the Foodstar site will likely be starting in Term 3. Parents should be aware that this will impact parking and traffic flow. Please take care.
