Board News - March 2025
On Thursday the 21st the Board and the Executive Leadership Team had the privilege of sharing a meal with the new staff members that started at St Andrews this year. It was a lovely time of fellowship and we were impressed with the enthusiasm and capability of these new additions to the St Andrews team.
After dinner we held our March meeting and welcomed Paul Veith to the Board. Paul is our newest member and is a nominee of the Presbyterian Church.
We commenced our meeting with a discussion with representatives of Transform the Nations (TtN) following on from the report we received in February about the investigative trip to Nepal. The Board has a strategic commitment to Mission Service Learning in the College and is excited by the prospect of a mission oriented program that we can build on across all of the activities of the College. Nick and his team continue to investigate how best to integrate the concept of faithful service into the overall offering of the College and we pray that this initiative will contribute to that process.
Justin McKenna also gave an inspiring devotion on our theme for the year, Isaiah 40:31, and focused on how the hope we have in God is a “confident expectation” that we can depend on.
Darren shared the progress on our regular audit process. We were pleased to hear that the audit has gone smoothly and that the financial outcomes for 2024 were stronger than expected giving us a firm foundation to build upon as we look for avenues to grow the College.
The school year is now well underway and we are starting to look ahead to term 2. We pray that the year continues to be a blessing to everyone in the College.
