Board News - November 2024

Tonight’s board meeting has a sense of sadness about it. Tonight is the final meeting for two of our current members. Rachel Bird has given three years of service, while Alan MacGavin has been serving on the board for 15 years!

Rachel led our devotion tonight by reading to us from Luke 8:22-25, the story of Jesus calming the storm. Rachel shared with us a similar experience in her life, and passed around a Bible her parents helped to translate in West Papua.

Principal Nick Haines and Deputy Principal Michael Swanborough presented an update on the strategic plan focusing on the Pedagogical Framework. It is encouraging to see how well some areas have developed in the last three years. We thank all the staff for their role in the establishment of this, and look ahead with confidence to 2025 and beyond.

Once again we thank our Business Manager, Darren Waterworth, for his faithful work at St Andrews Christian College, along with the financial team.

It has been another good and full year at St Andrews Christian College. We congratulate all the students who have completed their time at St Andrews, especially those who have finished VCE in 2024. May God bless you and use you in life after school.

We wish all members of our community a happy Christmas. As you celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, we hope you will enjoy the time with family, church, and friends. May God continue to bless you and the College in 2025.
