2025 Cambodia Mission Trip
From the 18th-31st January, 9 students from St Andrews and 3 staff members, joined a Mission Service Learning Team from Pacific Hills Christian School (in Sydney). Our team of 31 (25 students and 6 staff) served in Cambodia as we met and worked with local church leaders, missionaries and even the Cambodia Secretary of State! It was such a blessing to share our testimonies, serve in the Sunday School, Youth Group, Kids Club activities and to learn about the work God is doing in Cambodia. We visited churches, schools and villages and also served by painting, gardening and laying concrete (we were the concrete mixers!) to support the work the church is doing in the Cambodian villages. Lots of time was spent training for and playing soccer and volleyball. A highlight of our time was giving soccer boots and shirts to the youth and running a Soccer Tournament for 6 local teams. We loved the food and fun we shared during 'team times' and were privileged to pray with and for these beautiful people.
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”

2025 Nepal Mission Trip
Working alongside Transform the Nations (TtN), a group of six—including the Principal, three staff members, and two board members—embarked on an investigative trip to Nepal in February. Their goal was to witness firsthand the transformative work taking place among the poorest and lowest-caste Nepalese. They saw the profound impact that Christian education and a safe home can have in giving children the gift of real hope.
With a strategic commitment to Mission Service Learning, we are excited about the opportunity to develop a mission-oriented program that can be woven into every aspect of College life. Our Principal and his team continue to explore ways to integrate the concept of faithful service into the College’s overall vision, and we pray that this initiative will help shape that journey.
Personal Reflections
“I can’t unsee what I saw—travelling throughout Nepal I saw generational poverty, children and adults being highly discriminated against due to the caste system, people living without hope, children at risk of being trafficked.
“I also saw children (and adults) rescued from this life and being transformed through the work of Transform the Nations—children receiving a Christian education, being taught that they are “wonderfully and fearfully made”—being given a hope and a future. I travelled with these children on their school bus and listened to them singing at the top of their voices “10,000 reasons … Bless the Lord, oh my soul”. All truly amazing and humbling. It would be a privilege to continue to build relationship with Transform the Nations and these communities in Nepal.”
“In Nepal, we witnessed the harsh effects of the caste system, which tells people, especially those in lower castes like the Badi people, that they have no value. Many are deceived into slavery.
“At the Nepal-India border, we met Alisha, a young woman working to prevent human trafficking. Her bravery in protecting people and guiding them to safety was a powerful reminder of hope in dark places. Through Transform the Nations, people like Alisha are helping break the cycle of false hope by offering education and teaching people their true worth in Christ. In the east of Kathmandu, we saw the impact of Transform the Nations' training centres and schools. The joy of simply spending time with the children and women reminded us that God's love transcends all barriers.
“Each member of our team had a unique role at the school, but we were all reminded that God isn’t looking for talent—He wants willing hearts ready to serve and save another for Christ. Thank you for partnering and praying with us as we journeyed through Nepal.”
“During the Nepal mission trip I enjoyed meeting the children that had been taken out of poverty and being given the opportunity of a better life. I loved how some of them were so keen to know more about Jesus.”
“Our time in Nepal was full of experiences that will last a lifetime. You will often hear members of the team saying we 'went from dark to light'. Unpacking this was often an emotional journey as we witnessed the poverty and challenges of the caste system—the living conditions, work struggles, schooling limitations, and lack of opportunities for the Badi people. After spending time in the villages with the children and parents, we saw a hope for more. As a team, we had the opportunity to pray, offer encouragement, play together, sing together, and speak words of hope and dreams—to work hard and never give up.”
“The work of Transform the Nations, along with the programs and initiatives they provide, allows for a ‘movement into the light.’ We witnessed the positive impact of child sponsorship and life in the hostel. The children are taught about the love of Jesus. They are provided with food, shelter, education, and above all, the teaching of the Bible and how God has created them for great things. Young women are trained in life skills that allow them to enter the workforce and believe in themselves. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity to go.”
