Board News – August 2020
College Board News – AGM and Board Meeting – Thursday August 27th, 2020
Around 20 people met via Zoom for the College’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). During this meeting we were provided with an overview of the College’s performance for the prior year, both operationally and financially. We are always encouraged to hear how the College continues to thrive under God’s provision.
In 2020, whilst Covid continues to overshadow all that we do, the College continues to do well amidst the constant change – we have high enrolments, healthy waiting lists, significant progress on building construction, financially we are very stable, there is continuous improvement in academic achievement and development of learning platforms. We are so blessed.
Above all, we want our students to know God and know their real purpose in this world. Despite the challenging environment we have many testimonies of staff and students who are shining God’s light into this world. We need to persevere in God’s strength, in His love and grace and wrapped in his eternal hope.
The Audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2019 were accepted, and the current auditors, Saward Dawson were reappointed for the 2020 financial year.
We are thrilled that Thomas Chong (College parent) has been successfully nominated for another term on the College Board to conclude at the end of 2023. The Board is very appreciative of Thomas’s generous contribution to the life of the College through his participation on the Board.
