Board News – February 2020
St Andrews Christian College Board Meeting – Thursday 20th February 2020
During the first meeting for the year, the College Board gave thanks to God for the College and for a good start to the school year. The Board regretfully accepted the resignation of Pastor Andrew Courtis who has faithfully served on the Board for several years and will be sorely missed. One of the most important responsibilities faced by the Board is to determine how to best cater for our growing waiting list and we continue to discuss and pray on this.
Our Principal reported on a smooth start to the College year including a very positive short mission service learning trip to Bairnsdale Christian Community School, a school which has been impacted by the recent bushfires and drought. We are reminded of how we can both bless others and be blessed ourselves through such experiences. Our Business Manager reported on the new government funding model which is expected to have a favourable impact on the College however more detail is still required. The Board also reviewed several Policies, a task which continues throughout the year with the purpose of ensuring our Policies are always current and appropriate.
