St Andrews Christian College Board Meeting – Thursday 23rd July 2020
The Board has decided that our upcoming AGM will be held as a virtual meeting in line with the current government restrictions on physical meetings. You can expect to receive further information and an invitation to attend the AGM which will be held on Thursday August 27th 2020 at 7:30pm in the next few days. We warmly invite all parents and guardians of students to attend this meeting where we present the Audited Financial Statements, the Annual School Performance Report and vote to nominate persons to the College Board.
You may have noticed the “For Sale” signs either side of the school property – the Banksia Nursery and the (previous) Food Star site. Be assured that the Board, together with the ELT, are actively investigating and pursuing all opportunities to accommodate the College’s waiting lists. We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we seek to discern what is God’s plan for the College in this area.
We heard from our Principal and Business Manager regarding the operations of the College, noting that the challenges arising from our COVID environment are constant. However we also note that our Staff are rising to these new challenges. Please continue to encourage them whenever you can.
The Risk Committee reported that they have reviewed and updated the Risk Register, incorporating new risks such as those arising from contagious diseases such as COVID-19.
