It has been a great blessing that our year has started smoothly and well. We have enjoyed being able to gather as a community; both to welcome students back to a new school year on their first day back at our welcome assembly, and more recently at our dedication service in which we heard from a guest speaker and dedicated the year and our school to God.

One thing that we will be regularly visiting and unpacking this year is our mission statement - the ‘why’ behind our purpose and core existence as a school. Our mission statement says that we exist ‘To educate our students so that they are well skilled, understand life on the basis of biblical truth, and are motivated to walk with God and serve Him in their lives, so that they will be a positive Christian influence in the world’. This is a very inspiring and compelling reason for a Christian school to exist!

Throughout the course of this year, we will be developing a new strategic plan that will set our course for the next 4 years, whilst also providing a long-term ‘line of sight’ towards 2040. The development of a strategic plan is a process in which consideration, prayer, consultation and refinement are critical in ensuring that our future plans as a school are inspiring, but most importantly aligned with who God has called this school to be. And it is because of this reason that we always come back to the ‘why’ - our mission statement. Our mission statement becomes our plumb-line, our constant point of reference to ensure that future plans in where we want to go are most importantly aligned with who we are. I look forward to updating the community throughout the year on the development of our future plans, and also unpacking further our wonderful mission statement at St Andrews Christian College.

Operations – 2023 Welcome

Welcome to 2023 and we have enjoyed a rewarding start to the school year. Thank you to staff, parents and students for their organisation and efforts to ensure that our school operates in such a smooth and efficient manner. I would like to welcome all of our new staff both teaching and non-teaching and our new families who have joined us in 2023 and hope that you are feeling settled at this stage of the term into your new roles and new classes. We are so thrilled that you have chosen to join the St Andrews community.

I would encourage all parents to keep a regular eye on the HUB for updates as well as email communication and the ‘Week at a glance’ notices, as these communications cover upcoming excursions, events and dates in the school calendar and any information that helps you as a family to be informed about the life of your St Andrews young person.

In Christ,
